Here are all of the REGULATIONS for D.F.C. Please ensure you have read this page over carefully and understand what will be expected. If you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact us.
Registration begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM on Friday . We ask that you aim to arrive as close to 6:00 PM as possible because no youths will be allowed onto your site without a leader present. Please have all registration and medical fitness forms completed before arriving. Copies of each of these can be found on the Registration page.
On Friday night when you arrive, you will load all of your gear onto a tractor and trailer. This tractor will take you down the hill. At the bottom you will unload your gear onto your site. This is done because of the dangers the hill presents and the amount of staff needed to run the traffic on the hill.

Lots of parking will be availible at the top of the hill for all of your vehicles and trailers. Please feel free to bring as many cars as you wish, but please try to car pool. Remember that absolutely NO cars or trailers will be allowed down the hill.
A health lodge will be maintained for the duration of D.F.C. starting at approxamitely 7:00 p.m. Friday. Please report all accidents to the lodge. All Youth must be accompanied by an Adult to be seen. If an ambulance is required for transportation, any costs incurred will be the responsibility of the Leader and/or Parent. Please make copies of the medical fitness form provided for each member; (Youth and Leaders must provide a form) and hand them in at registration IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL AT THE CAMP. These forms can be collected at the regestraion building during the leaders Mug-up, Saturday night. Please do not hand in any irreplaceable originals, only copies please. All individuals must have a completed health form if they are onsite during the weekend. This is required by both Camp Bel and D.F.C. for attendance at this camp.
The Photo Release Form is a necessary document as we create a memorable DVD with the pictures from the camp on it for each group to have. If you have a youth that has a "Do Not Photograph", you must notify us at Registration. So please bring your Digital Cameras, take lots of pictures, then give them to us.
All cooking needs to be done on propane or white gas stoves. Come prepared, as this will be enforced.
There must not be any washing done at the water station. We have town water at this camp but please practice water conservation.
Lost and Found will be located at Registration. Please return any found items to them and/or if you have lost something, please advise them, be sure to give not only a name but group name.
Quiet time is 11:30 p.m. Theft or the Destruction of any camp, group or other personal property will not be tolerated. PLEASE READ THIS TO YOUR CAMPERS: The security crew are all volunteers. They are not at camp to give you a hard time but rather to help us ensure that you will have a safe time. While at camp, if you have any problems please see the Camp Chief.
Please leave the following at home: Weapons, Drugs, ALL Electronics, Fireworks, Pets and Alcohol. If there is an item which you are not sure about please contact the Camp Chief.
** ANY YOUTH FOUND WITH WEAPONS OR ALCOHOL WILL BE TURNED OVER TO POLICE - no warnings or exceptions. Please be advised that in Canada, sale of tobacco to minors is illegal. The Scouts Canada "Duty of Care" policy informs all leaders to avoid smoking in front of the youth. All those of age of majority please be discreet about your smoking habits, let's not give youth any negative influences. Besides, the youth are here to have fun, not learn bad habits!
This is a difficult area when running a camp of any size. There will be Port-a-Johns on site. If you find one in less than acceptable conditions, please report this to a staff member. Please have some patience and consideration, as the only way to please everyone is to have one toilet per person which is not financially possible!
We realize full well that as leaders you can direct and ask our youth to act in a certain manner but when they are out on their own, it is difficult to watch them all. Please ensure that your troop has ample supervision. It is difficult to attract staff at this time of year as a lot of our older Venturers and Rovers will be attending Colleges and Universities. In order to provide the amount of events that we would like to, we may need additional volunteers from the Leaders.
